We’re in for a treat on July 14 as Claire
Walker, long-time staff member of the Tripp Lake Camp, entertains us
with slides and commentary on its history.
She’ll come armed with scrapbooks and will answer
questions following the presentation. This will be a perfect preview for
our social there later this season.
We’ll also listen to Lara Bold, Americorps Volunteer,
outline a plan of attack on Purple Loosestrife this summer. We’ll need
your attention and participation in order to eliminate this invasive
plant.
TLIA invites its members and guests to enjoy coffee, doughnuts and
bagel from 8:30 to 9:00. A business meeting will follow before our
speakers take the spotlight at 10 a.m.
Raffle tickets will also be sold and winners picked as the
meeting ends. T-shirts, caps, sweatshirts and pictures will also be for
sale.
Come join us! Meet old friends and make some new. See you
Saturday, July 14, 2001 at the Ricker Memorial Library.

Clean-up Day, our annual attempt to clean the Public Beach and
remove litter from around the lake, will be held on Sunday morning,
July 15, from 8-10 a.m., starting at the Beach.
We’ll meet with rakes, plastic bags, gloves and lots of
enthusiasm. Volunteers of all ages are needed to make our lake and its
environs more appealing in a very short time.
Each has carte blanche to clean wherever one likes. It’s satisfying
and will make you proud. Please make it a point to become involved…you’ll
be welcomed with opened arms.
