| As a result of our “yea”
vote at Poland’s Annual Town Meeting to help fund another year of help
to Thompson Lake via its Youth Conservation Corps, Linda Laskey struck a
deal with Jeff Hackett, leader of the group.
He offered to help us with a project one day during the summer.
On August 20, Jeff and a group of four young men planted
buffers (purchased by Linda and TLIA) at the Public Beach.
They also helped cut Purple Loosestrife at one site for a brief
time. We thank them for their
efforts and hope it will be repeated next year.
