WANTED AND NEEDED: MORE NEW OFFICERS

We enthusiastically welcome the newest member of the Board of Directors, Jackie Misenheimer, who replaces Ed Perreault. Ed has served on the Board for six years and was presented with a special placque at the Annual Meeting by Treasurer Rick Lundstedt,. Ed and his wife, Barbara, will continue to host meetings with coffee, bagel and doughnuts. Thanks so much, folks!
For the past three, as a member of the Project #319 Steering Committee, Jackie has tracked summaries of hours and activities required as part of our in-kind match. A busy gal, she also heads the Special Education Department at Edward Little High School and teaches dance. She plants beautiful gardens and helps her neighbors with theirs. Next year, she and her husband Bobby will build a new home and become a year-round residents of Tripp Lake. We’re fortunate to have her.

Jackie Misenheimer, newest member of the Board

We need more new volunteers! For almost seven years, Rick Lundstedt has balanced our books, before, through and after Project #319. He’s done a superb job but now would like to be replaced. We’ve found the person to do it: Richard Barry will be taking over in ’01. Rick will help during transition. We thank you, Richard, for your willingness to help.

Marion LaFlamme, a Board member for the past two years, would like to step down as well. She’s done a great job and will stay on the job until next summer. I, too, need to be replaced. No one should have to serve more than eight years, not even a U.S. President. I’d be happy to co-officiate with the next president for a year (it would be my eighth) to provide a smooth transition.

Please think about it and come forth. If you have a deep and abiding commitment to the lake, it’s easy. There are plenty of helpers, folks who make it all worthwhile. I’ve loved the work and will continue to write the Newsletter if that’s what it takes. If you want to serve on the Nominating Committee, we need you, too! Fear not. We’re all friends and are eager to help. ….Babs
