The planning of our Tripp Lake throw started about two years ago. My
good friend, Gae Hinkley, helped me decide about colors (blueberry blue
and cream) and most of the scenes. Gae suggested that we use the aerial
photo as the center piece. She also had the idea to include many of the
boating activities and, of course, it had to have loons. Many other
friends added their ideas as we developed the concept.
I took photos of many cabins around the lake and had
the artist at Riddle & Company decide which one would look best. I love
all the cabins and could never have picked one. I hope you all like it.
I wish that Gae were still with us to enjoy the final product. I know
that I will always think about her whenever I look at the throw. In
memory of a great friend and a lovely lady…Gaetane Hinkley.
