FAMILY PICNIC AT TRIPP LAKE CAMP
Our fourth annual Family Picnic was
held on Saturday, August 17, at the Tripp Lake Camp and, by all
accounts, was a big success. About 60 people attended, arriving by land
and by sea, with pot-luck lunches, folding chairs and tennis rackets in
hand. |

Chairing the event were
Paula Smith, Judy King (in charge of children’s activities) Pete
and Ruth Desjardins and Susan Carbone. Patrick Kneeland helped
beforehand by tacking up posters around the lake while Anna and
Talia Rothfus helped distribute flyers.
Children’s environmental games were organized by Americorps
volunteers. Other activities included swimming, tennis, volleyball and
basketball.
Next year’s picnic is already being planned with new co-President,
Judy King, as chairperson. New helpers and ideas are most welcome.
