Nova Zembla Rhododendron. Zone 5, 5’ high. Beautiful dark red blooms in late spring; A vigorous’ upright growth habit. A consistent performer, it has shown itself to be quite heat tolerant and cold resistant. Best red-flowering catawba hybrid for cold climates. Likes partial sun to shaded area. Tolerates ph 5.0 to 7.4.
