ANNUAL MEETING FEATURES TWO GREAT SPEAKERS

Ever heard of Septi-Tech, the innovative septic system that can be installed with the smallest possible leachfield ? Proprietor Scott Samuelson will be telling us about the system that has revolutionalized septic tank technology.

Many camps on our lake are on very small sites, not intended for extended summers or additional appliances. If your septic system isn’t working properly, it could be polluting the lake. Direct pollution is known as Point-Source Pollution. Learn how you can get help and protect your lake. ( P.S. This is not a sales pitch…just an opportunity to learn something new.)

Phoebe Hardesty, of Androscoggin Soil and Water Conservation District, will also be telling us about our newest focus, the Long-Range Lake/Watershed Management Plan. This Plan will aim at preventing Non-Point Source Pollution (NPS) from entering our lake and causing further pollution. NPS results from runoff from many sources within the watershed and is another source of pollution.

Come hear them both! Also, meet all the youngsters who’ve won scholarships to the Maine Conservation School. Two will tell us a bit about their experiences.

See you on Saturday, July 13. Coffee, bagel and doughnuts served from 8:30-9.
