ARIAL PHOTOS OF LAKE STILL AVAILABLE

Over the years, many members and
friends of Tripp Lake Improvement Association have purchased aerial photos
of the lake, but for those who are new and would like one, they are still

for your camp.
The pictures are dry-mounted and will
be mailed for a nominal fee (about $3).
Prices are: 10x13--$35; 8x10--$25;
5x7(not dry-mounted)--$10: 4x6(not
dry-mounted)--$6. Call or
write her now. They can also be ordered at the annual meeting.

LAKE MAPS REDONE
|
| The map of Tripp Lake, brainchild of Gerri Tinkham, listing all homeowners on the lake, is being redone
for the fourth time. Intended
as a neighborhood map so people would know their neighbors, it’s become
enormously popular. With the
increased amount of home sales, it’s become necessary to research these
changes yearly to update the map.
This
year, a new member was added to Gerri Tinkham’s team.
On May 15, Marlene Cummings joined Gerri
and Babs Shapiro at the Town Office to pore over tax maps and update
the 2003 copy. They’ll be
available this summer, free of charge, for all residents of the lake.
Many thanks, Gerri, for all your diligence.

BOAT PARADE ON THE 4TH
|
|
A boat parade had been discussed for
years at former Board meetings. What
fun! But it never seemed to
happen until last year when, on the 4th of July, a string of
boats was seen merrily working its way around the lake.
Hemlocks Campgrounds had organized the activity and will repeat it
again this year. All are
urged to join in with their creations.
Decorate your boat with balloons, flags and streamers.
Play music and sing. Be whimsical and creative, but do it!
Contact
the Judson’s, Hemlock’s proprietors, for more information.
Their telephone number is 998-3284.

THE LOON LADY WILL SPEAK AT THE ANNUAL MEETING
|
|
We’re fortunate to announce that the
speaker at our annual meeting on July 12 will be “The Loon Lady,”
Sue Gallo, who will show slides, speak about loons and answer
questions from the audience. She’ll also discuss establishing loon
nesting sites on the lake (there are three we know of).
Loons are an indicator of a healthy lake, and we hope to maintain
them for years to come.
Please be there,
on our 30th anniversary, to celebrate and listen to this
interesting speaker! The
meeting begins at 9 a.m. Coffee,
doughnuts and bagel will be served from 8:30 until 9.
Bring friends, neighbors and new residents to enjoy this special
event.

LAKE CLEANUP PLANNED FOR JULY 13
|
|
Those who have participated in the
Yearly Cleanup understand how important it is.
It’s the Good Deed for the Day, the opportunity to volunteer for
1-2 hours and make the lake a cleaner, more inviting place.
We meet at the Public Beach at 8 a.m.
on July 13 (the day following our Annual Meeting)and start the pick-up
process there. Then folks can
return to their own areas and pick up roadside trash, old tires and
whatever can be lifted (from land or from the depths).
To the dump it all goes, and we all have a good feeling.
If you can’t meet us then, plan on doing your thing sometime that
day.
Bring your rakes, plastic bags and
gloves and help perform this good deed.
Volunteer and it’s guaranteed you’ll feel better!
