FEARLESS
HERON MAKES ITSELF AT HOME
|
A seemingly fearless blue heron roamed the
shores and gardens of Tripp Lake looking for lunches much of the summer.
Fish are not their only protein;
this one stalked and carried off scores of chipmunks.
Claudie Getchell discovered that small mammals are part of their
diet when this heron visited her rock walls and cottage foundation daily,
stalking the little critters. Jacqui
Misenheimer snapped it in action. |
